Our Founder
From an early age Clare travelled the world from caravans in the lakes to luxe in the jungle with snakes – she flew, drove and cruised!
She pursued her interest in hospitality at Strathclyde university earning a degree in hospitality management. Along the way working at Turnberry Hotel and The Broadmoor Hotel in Colorado.
Clare established Magical Boltholes in 2022 to build a small collection of thoughtful and luxurious accommodation in “peach” locations. After gaining the necessary planning consent, the cottages were closed in autumn 2023 for extension and complete renovation. Designed as luxury holiday homes to include all those useful extras to make you instantly feel away from it all but at home.
