Local Attractions
When you are ready to explore there’s extensive beach/country walks, bike paths & trails, 15 golf courses in a 10 mile radius (including Trump Turnberry, Royal Troon and Dundonald Links), Shoot, Fish, Sail or take the train into Glasgow and shop until you drop! For a more relaxing shops it’s a short drive to Prestwick with its collection of individual shops, bars and cafes.
And then there’s jaw dropping Dumfries House and Gardens whose acquisition was inspired by Prince Charles before his promotion. It’s transformation is stunning and is a must see for all visitors. There’s a constantly changing list of events on offer.
Castles – look no further than Culzean Castle – a short drive south down the coast road. Castle, gardens, kids park and Cafes.
Perfect for the kids? – award winning Heads of Ayr Farm Park is less than a 1 mile walk away, visit the best local beaches at Croy, Maidens, or head into Ayr for ten pin bowling or cinema.
